Happy New Year!

'There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind, wrote C.S Lewis and that is what I am embracing for 2024.

With a new workshop and studio I can feel that 2024 is going to be filled with flowers, fizz and fun! Who's going to join me?

I do hope you have had a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful festive season and that you too are ready to embrace and enjoy what this year has to offer?

I am kicking off the new year with helping you all unleash your inner artist and I have my painting classes 'Cuppa, paint and create' sessions happening once a month on Saturdays and Sundays. The sessions last around two hours and are a great way to dedicate some time just for you, or with friends... relax with a cuppa and enjoy a guided painting session with me.

You DO NOT need to be creative, I will show you step by step and you will go home with a beautiful painting all of your own.

The sessions start this week with the highland moo and if you are quick and book on asap using the code PAINTMEHAPPY at checkout, you get a massive £10 off making the session just £15!! Whoo Hoo, or should it be MOO MOO? I can't guarantee how long this voucher will last!

If you feel this is perfect get away time for you and you want to commit to doing this for yourself monthly with me I am considering a payment plan that reduces the price for repeat sessions for you.

There will be, of course as the weather warms up some floral related workshops incoming too and additional craft days, so watch this space.

Speaking of the flower farm I am starting to organise myself for the mammoth seed sowing months coming soon and signs of new growth are already starting to show.

If you would like to have a go at growing your own little flower patch along with me then I can highly recommend the following to help you...

Roz Chandler is a successful flower grower in Northampton and has produced an amazing step by step monthly planner 'The cut Flower guide and planner' which tells you what to sow, do and prepare month on month. I used it last year and it was immensely helpful especially if you are new to growing.

There are a few other good books out there that were pivotal to me which I would recommend buying if you want the low down on the best blooms.

Although in America, Floret Farm is the most beautiful abundant and sustainable flower farm and its owner Erin so knowledgeable about what is easiest and most prolific to grow, her book 'Cut Flower Garden' was the first book I initially read and had the thought about growing and after this was simply hooked.

If you like beautiful photography and impressive close up shots of flowers like me,

then look no further than Clare Nolans 'In Bloom' another information packed read to get the gardening juices flowing.

Please buy this in full colour version though so you can appreciate the stunning photographs.

So, there we go...2024 well and truly underway and what an exciting year this is going to be for everyone.

Be sure to follow me over on the regular social media haunts of facebook and Instagram where I promise I will be better at keeping you informed of upcoming events and what is in season.

Oh and my main resolution for 2024?

'Stay regular, informative and current with this blog'!

Wish me luck!
